Coming to the Festival?

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re going to join us. Here are some suggestions to maximize your experience of the event.

Carpool! Parking is limited, please use SpaceShare to share or find a ride. It's green, free and fun!

Come Early. Performances, installations and the Opening Ceremony begin at 11am and parking may fill soon thereafter, so arrive as early as possible. For detailed directions and shuttle options click here.

Come Dressed for the day colorfully, or in whatever way expresses your spirit or appreciation of art. October can have some of the nicest weather of the year, but fog in the morning is always a possibility. By afternoon sunscreen and a hat might be good choices. Bring something warm for later in the day.

Bring Friends. Since parking may be limited by the popularity of the day please carpool. This also allows you to share the 5$ per vehicle parking fee collected by the Regional Park.

Cellphones generally speaking do not work in this area of the park. Plan ahead.

Bring a Picnic. Pack a picnic lunch. Picnic tables and drinking fountains can be found all along the Stream Trail. Restrooms with flush toilets too.

Bring Your Walking Shoes or Wheels. The Festival happens along a 1 mile stretch. The Stream Trail is paved and nearly level. Great for strolling, strollers, wagons, and bicycles with training wheels. Also roller skates and big people bikes, though keep in mind that the route gets shared with many pedestrians and performing artists as well.

Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be kept leashed along the festival route. Sorry, state regulations do not allow our furry friends, except for service dogs, to be transported on our shuttle buses.

While the main route is quite wheelchair accessible, many activities do occur just off the paved portion of the trail, across lawns, uneven ground, or recently mulched earth. More information on the specifics of the trail surface and grade can be found here.

So pack a picnic lunch, bring your friends and family, and join us!!!
